What is the best brand and style of ballet pointe shoes??

whichever work best for your feet. go to a store and get fitted, but first, ask yyour teacher what she would recommend for you, and then look through catalogs, do some research, and make a list of some shoes that you think look like they would work good for your feet. at some stores, the fitters tend to bring out their most popular shoes, or whatever they have in your size. decide if you need a tapered or square box, high or low crown, and those types of things before going to the store. then ask to try on the shoes that you picked out.

everybody has different feet, so not everybody will like the same shoes. it doesnt matter what shoes other people like, what matters is that you like them yourself

I'm no dancer, but I am guessing that the kind of pointe shoes you should get depend on what your're doing? I just really like ballet...

I would say leos. I have tryed alot of pionte shoes and leos are my favorite.
There really is no "best brand" and "style" of pointe shoes, it's just which ones fit your feet right and help you en pointe. I quite like the Capezio Glisse, but make sure they fit EXACTLY. Also Bloch Sunatra and Principal shoes are good for beginners.
there is no best kind. each dancer has specfic needs and therefor needs to be professionally fitted. that said, certain kinds are better suited for certain types of feet. for example, i have really short, egyptian toes, and a really wide foot. i wore gambas because they have a broad box. i could never wear a capezio pavlova because its like an inch wide. it really depends on the shaoe fo your foot, how long you'll be dancing center, how often you'll dance, a lot of factors.
That is a very individual subject-different brands and styles are better for different people. It all just depends on your strength and the shape of your foot.

Freeds work for most everyone, but it's really best to be fitted in an actual Freed store... which is handy if you live in new york or london. ha.

Just expirament. See what feels good. What works for others may not work for you. Also try to go to a dance store with an expirienced fitter and many different shoe brands and styles.
there is no best brand or style...what fits your foot well without feeling uncomfortable (too much) or making your toenails turn black.

it also depends on the shape of your foot, length of your toes and other things...go to a dance store and try on as many types as you can to see what works for you...I did that and i found out that Grishko works best for me, but its not the best for other people...Try it...it will work
There is no best brand, but I can suggest a few good ones. Capezio, Bloch, Russian Pointe, Sansha, Freed, Grishko, Leo's, Gamba. Prima Soft just came out with 1. But it all depends on your feet. For example,Capezio doesn't have really hard shanks, but Russian Pointes do. Make sure to get really well fitted for your first pair, because if you don't the shoes can damage your feet for a long time. Hope I helped a little!
