How does Indian Dance differ from the Western Ballet?shows

Indian dance does not have an individual status as north, east, south and west -Indians have the own individual status as its own - say Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Bharatnatyam, Kathakali, and s on in and surrounding the whole group of cultures of Indian - Western look is merely different and they want each one as Indian. Ballet is a part of Indian dance forms born from the past, but, did not get the encouragement. This can be more clear on a comparison of western music and indian music. What we call as western is European and what they call as Indian is those spread from South India. The main difference is in the way of enjoyment otherwise, all those western arts are very simple for ordinary folk, but Indian arts - all, can not enjoyable for ordinary folk, but must have the knowledge of enjoyment, especially the meaning of 'mudras' and 'face expressions' - A cinema camera show the close-up face and it is simple to see but a dance or stage arts - whole physical parts would join the face expression and low eye-sight will not hinder the enjoyment. Even back-ground songs, to a great extent, is not required for those who know of the art. Once education on arts were a part of Indian cultural life, which is not now.

all our culture, not even dance but everything differ from western dance. We are imetating them in all it is bad
The Western ballet is based on a two or three beat cycle while the Indian dance is based on the concept of "Taal." The "Taal" is a rhythmic cycle of definite beats of 8, 10, 12, etc. Costumes and jewelry hold significant importance in this Indian art form. This is not so in the Western dance. Indian dances can be performed solo which is not the case with ballet. Another interesting difference is the absence of any footwear on an Indian classical dancer's feet, since we believe the dance is an offering of obeisance to God and not merely a form of entertainment. It is the happiness of the soul.
Well, the placement of the body is completely different, because even jazz and modern are all based on classical ballet in which you keep that centre and you feel like you have a line running through your whole body. In Indian dance, your hips come out and it's all pretty different. The emphasis in Western is on the body and the forms you're making. In Indian dance, it's really more personal, dramatical, expressive, emotional and each pose contains a meaning.
