your not old ur still young. Do whatever u want, it's ur body anyway! :)
i started ballet when i was 17 but you're definitely not too old to start you'll be fine :-)
GO FOR IT !!!!! Sweetie, you only get one life, so live it to the fullest. If you want to study ballet, then study ballet and don't let anyone.... ANYONE ....... discourage you. You are your own person and, despite what they tell you, you don't have to live your life to please anyone else. You may or may not be able to be a "career" ballet dancer, but I bet you could find a local dance studio that puts on performances. At the very least you can fulfill your own dream, even if you don't reach the ballet "prima donna" status that so many little girls dream of. Love and luck--MissDelanne
hey it's never too late to do something u wanna do. plus, u'll probably learn really quick cause ur so athletic already! GOOD LUCK!
no,if you love what you do its not to late,

I became the in house dancer for house music with paul Oakenfold ,Danny teneglia and Tim sheridan as my DJs ,

that is I went into a crowd of 2000 people and warmed up the dance floors, at home in leicester square, the ministry of sound, club space in Ibiza pacha, the phoenix in manchester, at the age 44

,I had the movement and the right interpretation for the ambience the DJs wanted to create on the night;

there were no competitors, age has nothing to do with it, if you have it inside of you,its all your and no one can take it away so go for it!
First, consult any person who is specializing in bone structure and ask him if you are still capable of doing ballet. You should always remember that there is always room for learning. Don't let anyone stop you to conquer the world.
do it as a hobby, that's what I'm doing with art since my parents won't send me off to art college...*sigh*
It's never too late to do anything! Don't let someone stop you from doing something you love. It's your life and if you like dancing, go dance. Who cares if your not the average 5 year old in a pink tutu? Think of all the women who want to do the same thing as you? I think you should go for because you will be happy in the end. Besides think of the instructor- wouldn't you find it easier to teach a 24 year old rather than a younger child? I think so! Good luck!!!
any one can learn ballet. but u cant go pro now. i'll tell ya that! if ure still flexi then that'd b really good 4 a dancer. but dont give up ure job and drop collage 4 dance. keep ure job, stay in collage, but take some night classes 4 ballet. if u give ure all into it u can do it, but personaly, i dont think there is a point of going pro.
You aren't old, your pretty young. And your never too young or too old to start dance. It just takes time. And your parents don't have much control over you know because your grown. Just take an adult class if you really want to start dance! it's a great idea try it. And when(if you do) start taking the classes, I'm sure you'll be great at it with your experience.
i dun think dancing will limit people's age..ure just being humble..im 14..and i dun see why u shuldnt learn dancing of different genre...
No your not too old to start ballet or any kind of dance style. My mum is 54 and has been doing ballet for 2 years now. She started out with not much grace or co-ordination but she's been practising heaps and has been improving heaps. Find a school that is perfect for you and just go for it. Don't hold back.
nah go for it! and have fun!
